Qdabra has recommended the Integrated scenario to customers using DBXL v2.7 or earlier versions. We call it “Integrated” because DBXL is installed on the SharePoint – 80 site (or the same site where the forms will be located) and the InfoPath form submits directly to the DBXL web service. Therefore, this scenario assumes DBXL was installed on the SharePoint site, typically SharePoint-80. This scenario is more common for DBXL users in MOSS 2007 and SharePoint 2010.

While there are additional scenarios that can be achieved with DBXL, this tutorial will focus on the Integrated scenario. Please refer to the DBXL Deployment Guide for information about other scenarios.
