I have a form published to a SP list library and want to use the OOTB collect signatures workflow. Unfortunately, this workflow by default, seems to only be associated with the document content type. Any idea how to use this workflow to capture sigs for this infopath form?

You can attach it to a post under the Options tab - I'll try to take a look later today or tomorrow morning.

It doesn't seem to recognize that the user as a query/filter for the second list. I am ...

InfoPath doesn't directly connect to Excel very well. Perhaps you can use the Excel sheet to create a list in SharePoint and then connect to that list using InfoPath. Copying and pasting somewhat works from Excel to a repeating table in InfoPath, but I've seen many bugs using that capability.

Sounds like you need some nested repeating sections for this. Basically you have a repeating section/table for list 1 with all the users. Then create another repeating section/table inside the first one that will iterate through list 2 with all the entries. This way you'll have all the entries displayed for the current user ...

I'm about to republish a form/template (I'm running MOSS 2007), a couple questions:
1. Is there any way to make a backup of the existing template?
2. Is there any way to restore a backup of the template, just in case anything goes wrong?
Any help would be most appreciated.

In 2007, IMO, Multiple Selection List Box is not available in browser forms, only in client/filler forms.
