I spent quite a lot of time working on it and finally got it working, but as usual, you just stumble on a different rock. :)
I got the interaction between Infopath and access working beautifully, but since the DB was hosted on my pc, Sharepoint users got a security alert.
What's the best way to upload this DB to sharepoint? ...

To clarify further, at this point if I could just get all the integers, including start and end, concatenated in a text field, I'm sure that will suffice. We then have Nintex Workflow which hopefully can extract all the integers into a collection and then using that collection, create the items in an eTicket list ...

Thanks for your reply. I tired to do the same in my form, but when I try to select the field , it puts a "." instead of the field name .
So its becoming like
Column3[Column2 = .]
rather than
Column3[Column2 = field1]
