Here are two tutorials I found: http://blogs.msdn.com/b/infopath/archive/2006/10/12/cascading-dropdowns-in-browser-forms.aspx http://www.infopathdev.com/blogs/david/archive/2007/08/23/implementing-cascading-dropdowns-in-forms-server.aspx Posted to Data Connections (Forum) by ErnestoM on 08-06-2012 How to add a new custom column link to open DBXL forms in the browser DBXL allows you to create a SharePoint mapping to a form library. In that SharePoint form library, the Title column is used as a link to open the form. However, you may choose to add a link to a different column. These steps will show you how. This document applies to the Integrated scenario, common in DBXL v2.7 and previous versions. Please ... Posted to SharePoint Integration (FileGallery) by ErnestoM on 08-03-2012 Send email to a user selected via People Picker using Active Directory The People Picker allows us to select users from the company directory. But the People Picker control in InfoPath 2010 has two important limitations. First, it does not query for the user’s email. Second, its schema is locked. This means that we cannot add an additional node (to store the email), nor rules. This is problematic for sending ... For a list, you would need to make sure that the form is created based on the list. That's either done by clicking Customize form on the list, or by creating the form from the list (screenshot attached). Hi- This tutorial doesn't use SubmitToDbxl, but it allows to submit and then immediately obtain the DocID. http://www.infopathdev.com/files/folders/other_subjects/entry69310.aspx The steps use QueryDocumentNodeSet to obtain the DocID, but similar steps would be used to call QueryDB instead and obtain a value from the database. On the list itself, click the icon for Customize form. The form will open in Design mode. 3. Customize and modify the form as desired, then File > Save and File > Publish. This will republish it to the SharePoint list. Good luck! Yes, correct Posted to Qdabra Database Accelerator (Forum) by ErnestoM on 08-02-2012 Re: What are the minimum roles/permissions that DBXL requires for SQL Server and SharePoint access? For question 1, you are correct, db_datareader and db_datawriter are all that's needed. For question 2, I replied about writing to SharePoint lists in your other forum discussion. DBXL won't write directly to SharePoint lists. When writing to SharePoint form libraries, we assume DBXL's app pool is running under the same identity as ...
