Hi,
I hope, only for InfoPath forms for 2003->2007 no need of any patch. For opening VS2003 projects with InfoPath2003 template from VS2005 with InfoPath2007, they have saperate connectors. Once try by creating a sample of InfoPath2003 by opening on InfoPath2007.

Hi Matt,
Yes I am using the exact same code and using statements.
Here is the reason I am trying to do this outside of the FormCode:
I have a C# Application that is used to pretty much control InfoPath (switch views, save, open, etc). I need a way to disable the toolbars, so the users only see a window that contains the form. Because, once ...

I know I can assign a rule to a button called ''Close this form: Prompt'' that will prompt the user to save the form if it's ''dirty'' and then closes the window. My question is, can I do the same thing from jscript. I don't have a managed code solution.

I am considering using some static XML files as resources to populate dropdown lists and I can not find anything in the IP 2003 Help File that explains how these types of files should be created. The Help just tells how to Add and existing Resource File. Could someone please point me in the right direction or give me an example. thanks

Sorry for my incomplete mail but I work with Infopath2003 and I am using Jscript.
The code you suggest I guess is for VBscript is it not? anyhow, I get an error 'system not defined'
I like to fill in the information only when they click the 'approve' button so I hoped I could enter a user function in the 'rules' part of the control.

okay let's say you have a textbox control on your form named field1.
Now go to tools - programming - and select OnLoad event in the menu bar.
Now you can use:
XDocument.Dom.SelectSingleNode(''my:myField/my:field1'').text = System.Environment.Username;

Shiva,
Thanks for your reply, but what do you mean by 'refresh the connection of your seconday data source'? How fo you do that? If you mean rebuild it with 'tools -> data connection ...' I already tried this without any result.
