Okay - nevermind. I figured it out.
The XML returned from the SQL web service doesn't match the sample schema that InfoPath set up initially. So the data is there, but the XPath doesn't work.

Trying to Repair the Install I get the following warning
Count cannot be less than zero. Parameter name 'count'
The repair then rolls back
Looking again through the Qdabra repair log, the 'app pool' is not being created. Sorry t obe such a bother but do you ahve any ideas?

Unfortunately I am only running IIS 5.1 hence there are no 'Web Service Extensions' to check. I thought I would do a quick check back through the event log and found the following
Error installing app pool for virtual directory QdabraWebService
I am going to try a re-install to see if that helps
