I always just check to see if the field is blank. Sure, that won't protect you if something goes wrong when the form is first created, but that's what error handling is for... Don't put any controls on the form that the user can change the info with, just use expression boxes for display. That way another user can't clear something ...

You'll probably find more than one way to do this, it seems to come up pretty often. In general, you could add a secondary data source to your SharePoint library to return the column where you are keeping these numbers, and get the max Id (use a substring-after formula to pull off the CR), add one, and stick the CR and the zeros back on. You ...

Hi:
You'll need to filter the data for your @Product_Price field. You should probably use the Filter Data button when you select the @Product_Price field in the formula editor. Hi, welcome:
As to question 1 -- I don't know of a way around the limitations of filtering in browser forms. I'm sorry. Thanks!

I tried setting up the following expression:
sum(/my:FruitBasket/my:Apples) > 10
However, it flags only on the input ...

Hi Anas,
There are a lot of documentation available on the web. Here's a good article that talks about managing SQL server permissions.
Hope that helps!

I have an Access 2003 database linked to Infopath 2003 and I have the following relationship. Unit tbl has many Employees(EMP tbl). The Unit # is the Primary Key and the EMP tbl has the EMP # as the Primary Key and the Unit # as the Foreign Key. I have both tables linked in the InfoPath form. My question is the ...

Hi, Mark:
I didn't want to leave this question as unanswered. As we resolved earlier today, the issue had to do with a rule that was setting the value of the field and some confusion as to what the field's actual value was. Not a SQL issue at all.
