• Autopopulate a field with incremental ID # and set # of digits.

Hello, I'm somewhat new to Infopath and this is my first time to the forums. I'm trying to get a textbox to autopopulate an ID number that will increment based on the number of forms submitted to a sharepoint library. Also, I need it to be a set number of digits, so that it will be 0001, 0002, and so on, instead of "1", ...

  • Re: Broken "Manage form templates" in Central Admin

I solved this problem. Here is what I did: Step 1: Ran stsadm -o enumformtemplates > c:\formlist.txt to output all the InfoPath form templates uploaded in SharePoint Central Administration Step 2: Due to the fact that I didn’t know which of the form templates is generating the issue I had to delete them all, one by one, by executing the ...

  • re: Repeat Table Headers Across Multiple Printed Pages

Hi Matt, How do I make this work without a secondary data source? The data would be entered in the 'data entry' form and display the page break/repeating header on print view. Thank you.

  • Header and footer color in Infopath

On my quest as a newbie to truly find the right work around to have a logo print or appear to print next to my header or footer, I've tried everything mentioned here and elsewhere as well as try my own work arounds, which have failed. In this last attempt to do as mentioned here and apply a background picture, I noticed that the ...

  • Re: Controls without Datasources

Did you try right clicking the root node in your Main Data Source and seeing if you could add a group there? Because it doesn't look like a straight XML connection will work-- just like with your Web Service, you can't make a section optional from a secondary data source.... It may be possible if you modify the InfoPath generated schema ...

  • Re: Determine Who Has a SharePoint File/Form Open - Within InfoPath

Hi -- you can check out your form using the SharePoint Lists web service -- no code needed. You have to add a query data connection to the web service, (_vti_bin/Lists.asmx) and select the CheckOut message. Also add a data connection to the library where the XML is submitted -- for that connection, you can select the checkbox for getting info ...

  • Re: FilterOwssvr

Did you use the design checker to see what the errors are? We currently have browser forms published to our test sites using qRules and FilterOwssvr, and they can be opened in the browser. EDIT: I should also mention that since qRules injects code, you'll need to admin approve your template. This is covered in the user guide.
