Hilary!!!! You just blew my mind with combining both SharePoint lists. That is so much more efficient! Thank you for the sample, I was able to get what I needed to finish this form and yes, I combined the SharePoint lists. Many thanks for the quick, thorough, helpful response - from your #1 ...

You are most of the way there! You need to add a filter when you create the rule, so that you get the "right" row from your Emails. Samples are easier to understand, so I've attached one. Mine uses a secondary data source from an XML file so you can preview it and see how it works. If you have an questions, just let me know. :)

Hi,
I am new to using SharePoint Lists as a source of data in an InfoPath form and need a little help. I created two SharePoint lists (Primary Assignment) and (Secondary Assignment). Both lists contain two columns: one column for the user name (Title) and the other column for their corresponding ...

Are you copying / pasting from one InfoPath form to another? Sorry, I'm not quite understanding the scenario. If you are copying / pasting controls from one form to another ...

Can you please tell me which file in xsn (made it already. Cab) should I edit to make all the fields that are shown as unbound while previewing the form be normal?
I copied list from one server to another, all list items and fields of the lists are copied but the form has problem, when trying to copy context from working InfoPath to the other ...

So - there is no way out of the box in InfoPath to submit secondary data. Is this a SharePoint List form (sorry, I'm sort of confused at this point)? Is it set to manage multiple items? List forms have a lot of restrictions that sometimes make them hard to work with - if you don't mind sharing your form (attach it under the Options tab in ...

There are many kinds of InofPath forms. It just happens that database bound forms have some limitations when used in the browser. Also, since InfoPath is deprecated, we are seeing less capabilities allowed in SharePoint Online. I'm assuming Microsoft would prefer we stop building things with a deprecated product. PowerApps can connect to SQL ...
