Last » Re: How to Hide and Display Sections By using a hidden field, setting the value of this field with a rule on your button, and then adding conditional formatting to the section that hides it when that field has no value or doesn't have the value used by the button click. That way, when the button is clicked, the hidden text field gets a value that causes ... Posted to Newbie Questions (Forum) by warrtalon on 01-10-2011 Re: How to send an optional email in a section to the outlook users Whoa, that's very hard to follow. I do not understand it, but it's not how "submit to email" in InfoPath is really used. You should really be using a workflow for this with dynamic emails and links back to the form with Form Load rules that detect the user's identity and switches views based on identity and ... I've never made that change in Win7, XP. or any other client. Posted to SharePoint Integration (Forum) by warrtalon on 01-10-2011 Re: Publishing a form to a list of email contacts Yes, like I said, you need the Enterprise version of SharePoint (either 2007 or 2010) in order to utilize browser forms. I didn't know you didn't have SharePoint at all. I never encounter people using InfoPath without SharePoint, so it's my bias that led to this assumption that you were already using SharePoint. So yeah, ... Posted to Newbie Questions (Forum) by warrtalon on 01-10-2011 Re: Publishing a form to a list of email contacts Too much work for them? InfoPath Forms Services is not something you install. You either have it or you don't. If you have MOSS 2007 Enterprise or SharePoint Server 2010 Enterprise, then you have Forms Services. There is no installing it, so it would not be related to IT being lazy. Why did you assume that, and why do ... Posted to Newbie Questions (Forum) by warrtalon on 01-10-2011 Re: How to send an optional email in a section to the outlook users What's the actual question? All you said was, "How to send an optional email in a section to the user." The text of the email is not important to us. Are you wanting to send email from the form itself, or are you using a workflow email? What are the options for the optional part? What is this section you're ...
But I'm looking for the ability to allow my end user to dynamically add the repeating rows that contain the two drop downs so that they can add or remove their selection of applicable languages as needed. I guess the core problem is that I simply cannot get the two drop downs into a relationship were my user ... Posted to SharePoint Integration (Forum) by warrtalon on 01-10-2011 Re: Infopath Forms that display only from drop-down It's really easy. However, please always state the version of SharePoint and InfoPath you're working, because there are major difference between 2007 and 2010. In 2007, do this: In the main data source of the InfoPath form, add a dropdown control bound to a text field Connect this dropdown to the list data connection with ... Im a little dissapointed that i have to create a custom button ;-)
It takes maybe 10 seconds to do it and is far preferable to the toolbar button, which cannot be conditionally formatted.
