Here is what I am looking for with InfoPath, and I'm not quite sure if I can do it!
I am creating a "Job" request form. A job can have one or many tasks associated with it. So when a user goes to submit a new job request form, there is a Job Title and then they need to add tasks to it. Whether it is one task or many tasks ...

You cannot create a form with the list as a main data source unless it is a list form (which would then be bound to the list, and only available for IP / ShP 2010).
When I suggested default values - I meant to add as many rows to the repeating table as you thought your list would ever have (with a few extra for good measure) and then set defaults ...

Many to many is the problem. You could create a dummy table to connect them - something that is just an auto incrementing ID field. Add that field to your other tables so you can relate them to your new "parent" table. Does that make sense?

So the test I did was to add a repeating table and a single date control and ...

Thank you I will take a look!

Hi Chris,
The multi select list box is a repeating field, so when you promote the property (so that it becomes a column in SharePoint), you are asked how to handle this. See the attached screenshot. You can select: first, count, merge or last.
Which one have you selected and is it not providing the expected behavior?
first displays the first ...

Hi,
We have a sample training lab available on our blog, and one of them talks precisely about an event planner form.
One of these free training labs is: here and here.
The second sample training is here: part 1, 2, 3 and 4.
It sounds like your scenario is pretty detailed, so I doubt that you will find one step-by-step guide for your specific ...

Is it 2007 or 2010?
I am on 2007 and don't see the options you mentioned above.
