There aren't any rules that would affect that field. Neither do I have any defaults set that would affect it. But it is definitely happening on form load. It functions correctly before you submit it. Thank you

Okay - InfoPath doesn't provide anything out of the box for this - but here is one way. You can also do this with qRules, if you aren't up for modifying your form's source files. :-)

Hi - do you mean insert a new row? Or set a field's value? Inserting a new row is going to require code (or qRules). You could also include a number of rows in the defaults for the data and hide the blank ones, using some logic to then fill a value and display them...

Hi I saw somewhere that a webservice could be used in making a Data connection to the list for this purpose; but I can't find that article or how to do it. Is that what you did? And can you give some more detail if so? I don't have access to SP Designer either..just infopath designer...
