How about.... Creating a Data Connection back to a list on my SharePoint site that I have created columns for. Can I link the value entered in InfoPath to the column in SharePoint, have SharePoint do the calculation in a different column then feed the other information back to InfoPath?

Here's that selected image. You'd want to conditionally hide the picture buttons when they're selected vs. not.
