Hi Patrick,
Thanks for response. I would very much like to know about second approach. Can you just give me a sample on how to do it or point me to right links? Also is this possible by editing existing template?

I see. If that's the case then I would suggest promoting the TTU ID field as a column for the Form Name (Go to File > Advanced Form Options > Property Promotion, then select the field). Then, instead of having the TTU ID field populating the Save As field, proceed to Form Load (located under the Data tab) and create an Action ...

If you go to File->Form Options->Programming and code is checked, you have code. Another way to verify is to go to File->Publish->Export Source Files and see if one of the files is a dll.
Note: editing with a code editor will require access to the .NET project. You'll have to ask the author where they put it.

All,
Thanks for the response. I have executed this - a data connection with drop down lists. However, they must be repeating - I want these to not be in the repeating table. Thank You Wilkies0106aw
What I meant by question 1 was how to implement functionality that allows only certain users to amend options of drop-down. It needs to be visible to all. I;m pretty new to SP so if you have some spare mins to describe how to implement this it would be greatly appreciated.

Are you sure that the 'code' is actually rules on the button? Otherwise you should normally see the code if there is actually any available.

By the sound of it you'd a Section for your Employee Name,Department,Job Title,Manager etc.
You'll need a data connection which can reference your employees and their employee id. Then one of your fields in your repeating table can be filtered by your employee id.
