• Re: Adding web service to pre-existing form (having issues)

Thanks for the response Jimmy. Is qRules the only way to get around this? I'm comfortable writing c# code and have written c# code to copy a repeating table to a repeating table and that's worked on the main data source. I was assuming that the reason it wasn't writing to the secondary data source was ...

  • Adding fields that aren't defined in the web service

Hi, Since I didn't get a response to my post I made friday around having issues getting a web service to work as a secondary connection I designed my form based on the web service. The problem I'm having now is that I can't add any fields to my form that aren't defined in the web service. Is there a way to add fields to the ...

  • Adding web service to pre-existing form (having issues)

We have an existing form that is filled out and people manually take the data from the form and enter it into a system. A web service has been developed that automates what the users have been doing manually copy/pasting from the form. I updated the existing form by adding a new data connection to the web service. I then drag/dropped all of ...

  • Accessing Repeating Section in a secondary data source

I have a form that contains similar types of information that appears in different sections of the form. Once a user is done filling out that form I want to grab all the like information and consolidate it into a single repeating table. I've found a few good resources that shows me how to access and add values to repeating ...

  • Is this possible through Custom Code?

Hi all, first off, I'm not looking for specific code here (unless you're willing to help provide it) but I'm looking for information on if what I'm looking to do is possible through custom code? I'm pretty experienced when it comes to c# in .net. I'm not very familiar with how c# works in infopath. I was ...

  • Open Behavior Font Issues

I have a few users that have changed their desktop fonts to larger sizes. When they open the infopath forms I've developed, the font sizes are dramatically bigger and they cannot see all the whole value horizontally in my drop downs making it difficult to fill out the form. The layout of the form is already pretty compressed horizontally with ...

  • Re: Where to I store Web Service log in Credentials?

Just thought I'd update this. It looks like the web service I was using did not prompt for credentials and used my windows authentication log on at run time. I changed the web service to prompt for the credentials to see the definition and infopath then began prompting for them just as it does with a SQL server connection.

  • Where to I store Web Service log in Credentials?

For SQL server connections I'm prompted for a user name and password and can save that along with the form. I'm doing the same for a web service but I'm not asked for the credentials to use the web service at any point so when I try to submit data, it's giving me the following error: InfoPath cannot submit the form. An error ...

  • Re: Drop Down List Trimming Spaces

Thanks Jimmy, that did the trick. Just in case others are having the same issue, you can type a non breaking white space by holding down alt, typing 0160 on your number pad, then release alt. It will insert a non breaking white space.
