Adding fields that aren't defined in the web service

Hi, Since I didn't get a response to my post I made friday around having issues getting a web service to work as a secondary connection I designed my form based on the web service. The problem I'm having now is that I can't add any fields to my form that aren't defined in the web service. Is there a way to add fields to the form that aren't defined as part of the web service?

    Hi,

You've encountered one of the limitations of writing a custom web service. One solution is to design or purchase a generic web service (such as DBXL) that doesn't require these updates for every change. Good luck!

I figured it out in case anyone else is having this issue.  You can add fields to the main data source by clicking on Design Tasks > Data Source.  Select your main data source and right click "myFields" and select "Add...".  You can add a group and you can add all of your custom fields to that group and you can perform data validation, lookups, and rules on them just like you'd be able to do if the main data source was not a web service.
