Hi Cory,
I don't expect InfoPath to do any kind of randomness to dropdown values.
One thing that you can try and look is, how does your values from database look in the XML? To look at the data, just place the data from DB in the UI as repeating nodes and check out the order of the data in the UI. Now compare these values and the values in the ...

I think your expression boxes are also in Repeating section/table then, then your XPath should be
xdXDocument:GetDOM(''tblkEMCType'')/dfs:myFields/dfs:dataFields/d:tblkEMCType/
@EMCName[../@EMCID = current()/my:EMCVol_]
In the above xpath I am assuming ''my:Volume'' to be the repeating node.

One idea I contemplated was to create onChange events for the drop-downs that would set an attribute on the current field equal to the drop-down display names. Then on the print view I could display the attribute instead of the field value.
Anyone have another idea?

From everything I can find, I have to assume there is no way to set a default print and view orientation other than landscape for InfoPath. This seems extremely limiting. I will need to find another tool as this one is not able to do what we need it to do.

When we click on properties of comments and go to the details tab, it stated comments was an attribute and did not give a namespace. ...

This issue is becoming quite serious. Does anyone know how to alter the default view and print orientation to portrait?
