    Problem with digital certificate

    Hello.

I've created my Infopath solution using VS 2005 (Visual C#) then I granted Full trust security option to my Infopath form via Tools -> Forms Options - Security - Full Trust.

Also I've signed the Infopath form by checking the "Sign this form" checkbox, after that I pressed Create Certificate button, clicked OK in dialog appear and than published my form to SharePoint portal.

When I'm navigating to SharePoint portal and selecting "Fill out this form" everything works fine - in dialog appears I checking "Always trust..." checkbox and my Infopath form downloads, opens and behves well.

The problem occurs when other userer trying to access my form - in the dialog that appears the "Always trust..." checkbox is disabled.

Please tell me what should I do to enable this check box for other users. Does there any possiblity exists to create certificate for full trust signing for my solution testing issues?

    Regards, Alex Getman

    Hi Alex,
They need to import the certificate and place it in their trusted root authority box first and then try to open it. The 2nd time, they should see the checkbox. Let us know if you need more information.

If you click on "Create Certificate button" you create a certificate which is valid only for you and you cannot use it with other users. You should have a certificate got by a valid CA.

    2 Patrick Halstead
    Thanx for your advice.

    I found a solution :)

You can sign your form by clicking "Create Certificate" then when any other user trying to open your form he/she will be promted to "Security Warning " with message

"This form is digitally signed by Alex.."

and "Always trust" checkbox will be disabled to enable this check box user should click "Details" button and then choose Install Certificate.

After that user should reopen the form and "Always trust" checkbox will be enabled.

    Good luck :)

Alex, Im glad you found that. It took me a few days to figure that out when i had the issue. I'd like to see more documentation on how to do that and what to do after you deply the form. Otherwise congrats.
