Other way is to set the return status as false in the ''OnSubmitRequest'' event and return if the form is already submitted.

Hi. How can I tell what the value is when i click on it?
-
Hi,
Is your checkboxe boolean(''true/false'') type, if yes probably then probably your node might already have some other text than true/false.
If the field cannot be blank, even then you will see the checkbox highlighted.
One more thing what is the value that is set when you check that checkbox? Is it other than ''true/fale or 1/0'', if yes ...

Greg has a very good How-To written on this, referhttp://infopathdev.com/howto/tutorials/default.aspx?i=34568d691f5d4b72890add72c2903e2e
[EDIT - Fixed link - Matt Faus]
This will give you info on how to add a picture background for your button.

The error is not on before it is checked but it does go on and then off when I click on various other check boxes. i've looked in the manifest and can not find where there are any rules or validation set up to do this. I've looked at the code behind it also and did not find anything there. Any other ideas I could check into?

Hi Kumar,
Welcome to InfoPathDev forums!
Do both the forms have same value in the ''Name'' field? Probably if the name value is then you might get this error. Can you try out one thing, instead of making the name value to null can you change the text in it and try out if that worksout.
Which function are you using to open the second template ...

Yes one button is simple send vis e-mail to a specific person, the second button uses Add Record function and I have tested it and it does post a new record to the Database. The View is a Default View. [view 1]

Ptrudell,
Quick question on this: are you using any views on the form? And it sounds like you are using a custom task pane to create the submit buttons? It almost sounds like an issue with those buttons. I assume you have verified that the form data is being written to the database correctly?

Okay--someone else will have to jump in to assist you then. I don't have any background on the app.config file.
