Hi Torrwin and welcome to the forum!
First you might want to check out these HowTos:http://www.infopathdev.com/howto/tutorials/default.aspx?s=Lists
If you are still having trouble after that could you provide a little more information about your schema, the number of cascading drop-downs and what kind of filtering you are trying to do?

That sounds really weird. You might try double-clicking on the repeating table and then clicking Rules to add rules that clear all of the fields as soon as a new section is inserted. This is all I can think of for now.
Otherwise, you might check the installation of InfoPath wherever this problem is occuring.

Hello
You can do this using Conditional Formatting. Try these steps
1) Insert Two Text Boxes A and B and a third text box C
2) In the Text Box A insert your default Formula and put conditional formatting to hide this Text Box A if C is not equal to X
3) In the text Box B Don#%92t insert any default formula and put conditional formatting to ...

Hi Sam,
You should be able to do this with Rules instead of code. Double-click FieldB, click Rules, click Add, and then click Edit Condition. Set the drop-downs to ''FieldB'' ''is equal to'' 'x'. Click Ok. Hi,
I have a text fieldA and it's value is set by a formula using the Default Value option.
Is there a way to only use this default if fieldB has a value of 'x'?
Or do I have to go and write code?
TIA

Thanks again

Hello CaptainAi,
No You need not recreate everything on the Clients Network. You can modify your Dataconnection by pointing it to New database(On Clients Machine)
Select from Tools-> DataConnections->Select the Dataconnection-> Click on Modify. Then Follow the instructions there on.

Hi drgkreddy,
Thank you for your reply. Once I have saved the .mdb file on the clients network - how do I tell the InfoPath form where to find the DB? I.E. I have all the fields, formatting and rules already created in the form template - only it is on my PC - I don't have to recreate the form template from scratch on the clients network do ...

I have several fields on my form which require, as part of the calculation, to calculate the square root of another field. Since square root isn't one of the basic functions shown in the insert function window, I assume I'm going to need to write some code to do this. Does anyone know how I would go about this? Thanks.

Hello CaptainAi
Welcome to Infopathdev Forums.
Yes You need to Save the .mdb file on to the clients Network. Its not sufficient if you just save it in the Resource files because the path will be different.
Also take a look at the Link below which gives information on connecting an Infopath form to Access ...
