Re: Incrementing the ID field in a form library.

Understood & Thank You, However, This issue is kind-of  outside SharePoint and InfoPath. We want to leverage the unique "ID" assigned by SharePoint to every request (Submitted From). Why create a unique tracking number?  That functionality is built into SharePoint. The ID field in SharePoint that ...

Incrementing the ID field in a form library.

I have very large form library in SharePoint 2010 for tracking Engineering Change Requests. Currently each request is assigned a unique tracking number taken out from our ERP software. We would like to simply switch to using the ID number assigned to the form by SharePoint as our tracking number in the ERP software. Currently the ERP ...

re: Check that Form Out (or in) Automatically!

This is exactly what I need. We're on SP2010 and I can see a lot of functionality that can be added to our forms. HOWEVER: I have had problems in the past with data connections in browser forms that do not connect to the site our form library is on. Do you think the web service would fall into that category? The one time I tried this the form ...

Field will not go away.

We're on SharePoint 2010 and I have a major Browser form that I recently published to a Site Content Type. After doing so, I discovered a text field on my form "Assigned To" was not updating with the entered value when the form was submitted. I realized that "Assigned To" might be a reserved site field and that ...

Datasheet not an option in InfoPath form library.

Recently I published my "EngineeringRequest" form to a Site Content Type. I created a new form library and added the "EngineeringRequests" content type. I added a SharePoint Column called "REVIEWED" = Yes/No. In our current library we have a datasheet view we use in a meeting for reviewing new requests. We set the ...

Re: Losing SP metadata values when publishing

Are you developing the form in a test library? "SANDBOX" I am experiencing the same issues. Our live library has 3 workflows that do not exist on the test library. Also I have Ratings turned on for the live library (Which Creates 2 fields). Lastly I have one non infopath (YES/NO) field I added for a special view that does not exist in ...

Re: Repeating Table to display many rows when view opens.

Just verified, It's not the row index doing it. Ideas?

Re: Repeating Table to display many rows when view opens.

This works great in preview. I had to add 100 rows. But It works well. The published version in SharePoint hangs up the form. I have the following Xpath code on an index field that shows a row number. count(preceding-sibling::*/DeliverableID) + 1 Like I said, everything works well in preview. hangs up the form when I load the view in ...

Repeating Table to display many rows when view opens.

This involves two data sources. the MAIN one for my form with a repeating group called APQP and a Secondary datasource to a SharePoint list containing over 90 rows with 5 fields. The APQP group contains the cooresponding fields to the SharePoint list plus fields for things like status, username, completed date... Using the ID ...

Re: Field Promotion @ Publish successful, Field not accessable in settings or 2ndary connections

It appears I can not promote integers. I have tried promoting many different fields, all do promote, Except Integers. THIS IS TOO WIERD.
