I have a form which opens when you click directly on the XSN, but when you click on a link to the form it throws an error. BTW, the link was created by right clicking on the XSN and selecting copy shortcut. When hovering on the XSN it gives the same URL as the XSN, and the copied URL ... Posted to Newbie Questions (Forum) by mjaneczk on 10-02-2008 Using Code form 2007 VSTA in 2003 I developed a form using IP 2007 and made it 2003 compatible, and it works fine. This form has some C# code behind. I need to turn this over to our support team. Unfortunately, they only have IP 2003. On their machines they only have the MSE. Upgrading them to 2007 is a hassle I'd like to avoid. Is ... Posted to Newbie Questions (Forum) by mjaneczk on 10-01-2008 Re: Web Services and Permissions Learned some more on this.... Apparently managed paths are in different web apps, at least they are here. The problem seems to be an InfoPath form writing to a list outside of its own web app with Domain Security Level. What makes this confusing is that our web apps are within the same Domain. I am now wondering if I am ... Posted to Newbie Questions (Forum) by mjaneczk on 09-25-2008 Re: Approved Infopath form + sharepoint You could use the three-state work flow (or Approval Workflow depending on your version of SharePoint) within SharePoint to do your alerts/etc. I am not sure if this will "lock" the request until your boss approves it. I think it does this, but I haven't tested. Posted to Newbie Questions (Forum) by mjaneczk on 09-25-2008 Web Services and Permissions I have an InfoPath 2003 form which lives in a SharePoitn form Library. This form writes to a SharePoint List via web services. The form can write just fine to some dummy lists I have within the same site as the form library. However, when I attempt to write to the actual SharePoint List in a different site and different site ... Posted to Newbie Questions (Forum) by mjaneczk on 09-25-2008 Re: Secondary data source limitiations I wonder if you can create a view on your list with the item count set to 9K. Then within your InfoPath form try reading from that view. This article show you how to read from a view: http://www.infopathdev.com/forums/p/8824/31485.aspx#31485 Posted to Newbie Questions (Forum) by mjaneczk on 09-22-2008 Re: Filtering a Repeating table from a Secondary Data Source I found one little quirk with this. When starting from an empty list the view will thus not return anything. Thus, when you are in InfoPath design mode, you will not be able to create a repeating table from this empty list. To get around this, populate the list with a few rows of dummy data. One row doesn't work ...
