  • Re: Read a parameter from a URL

Hi Hillary,  but we don't have any access to the sandbox so it isn't possible.  We don't have any access to site collection admin, that is held by the third party who host the SharePoint site.  So nope, we can't publish code.  N O no!!  lol SOrry but I keep saying I can't use code solutions and ...

Hi Bre, Thank you for the reply. But no, it is simply impossible to publish browser enabled forms with code to a hosted Office 365. Very frustrated but just not an alternative. Guy

  • Re: How to translate double quotes to underscore?

I find these answers so helpful but the last little piece of the story doesn't get spelt out for simple people like me.  I assume as there was no further conversation other people worked this out.  It took me a while so I will explain my understanding. The translate function uses three strings (pieces of text) separated with ...

  • Read a parameter from a URL

I want a user to be able to submit one form then open a second form from a link on the first form and have the second form prepopulated with information from the first form. CODE IS NOT AN OPTION!  We are using cloud hosted SharePoint and it is simply not possible to publish forms with code.  NO CODE! Web parts are not an ...

I find dozens of posts on different forums and blogs about carriage returns but they all refer back to this discussion. But this does not work in browser.  Is there any solution that does? I am using InfoPath 2010 published to browser enabled form in SharePoint 2013 in the cloud.  Submission is as a read only view to an email but the ...

Ah ha!  It works OK if I stick a button on the form that runs the query on the data connection again.  But that is a pain!  Is there anyway to force the query to run when the user clicks Insert item?  NO CODE SOLUTIONS - I cannot publish code

  • Drop down not working in additional rows of repeating table

Hi, Is this normal or am I doing something wrong. InfoPath 2010, SharePoint 2013, browser enabled form. I have a secondary data connection that I am using as the source of values in a drop down list in one column of a repeating table. In the default row that all works fine. I can add multiple default rows, it still works fine. But if the ...

  • Re: Editing a list with a form

Answered my own question :-) Set up an action rule on each field of the repeating table from the secondary source that might be changed.. Each rule has as many clauses as there are columns to update.  Each clause sets "Field" on the CAML data source to equal the appropriate field in the repeating table. But then ...
