I am working on a travel profile form and have a question on how to do a
database retreival and an update in the same form.
I have a web service that pre-populates name and email based on Active
Directory. That event happens on form load.
When email is populated, I would like that to trigger a query against a
profile database and ...

Hey Jason, sorry you are having trouble.
InfoPath would be required for manipulating the DAT form and opening the template xsn via a browser should initiate InfoPath by default.
Can you explain what you are trying to accomplish with your form so we know what you are trying to accomplish.
I appologize for the documentation, I am going to be ...

I cannot remember for sure if SharePoint is supposed to update the view on an existing library or not but I ca think of a couple tests.
One I would publish your form to a new Form Library just as a test and make sure you get what you are looking for in the view.

To test this and do some learning I would recommend creating a new form from scratch. Select Database as the type and connect it to your ...

Typically you should not have an issue using InfoPath 2007 to view InfoPath 2003 forms, it is backward compatible. If they are going to be changing the design of the form, which it does not sound like, then they would need to make sure they kept them compatible for 2003 users.

Hi,
My company is using InfoPath 2003 to create forms saved as .xml files. We're going to need an outside contractor to look at these files and review them for us, but there's no guarantee some of these contractors will have InfoPath 2003 on their computers (in fact, my guess is that most of them won't have ...
