• Re: Form design, database query and update

Hi oldradio99, It looks like you are on the right path, but I think you are getting some XPath errors. The second XPath listed looks like it goes to @TravelFirstName, which does not seem correct since you are looking to populate the Last Name field. Since you got First Name working, it should be very similar to get Last Name ...

  • Re: Question about sending a form

Hi redhead, If you are using unmanaged code behind the form, then sending the XSN should be all you need to do. When they receive the XSN they will likely have to open it in the Designer, and then choose File -> Publish to re-publish the form to their local machine. If you are using managed code, then you will need to send a ZIP of all ...

  • Re: Images are not available for transformed InfoPath form data viewed in Internet Explorer

Hi Kathryn Bates, Good work on getting the XSL stylesheet working! This alone means you should not be posting 'Newbie Questions', haha. What exactly are you seeing as the output for the image controls? If you put the image control into the form as chose "Save image into form", then you are probably seeing Base64 as the ...

  • Re: Value Limitations

Hi Chuck, It may or may not the the limit for drop down. But i tried with above 58660 elements by taking an xml as connection. I hope your list will not exceed this number of values. So there should be the filter on your query, based on that the list of values are populating in to the drop down. Once check the query. you mentioned ...

  • Re: Value Limitations

I guess more specifically, is there a limit to the number of entries in a single drop-down list?

  • Re: Form design, database query and update

I am using a web service only for the Active Directory data. The form was designed from the beginning as a database connection. To add to the frustration, here is an update: I was able to get the issue to run on one field and one field only. I use email as the primary key. I set the field email via WSDL from AD and then search my ...

  • Re: Using Excel ActiveX Control

This sounds cool. I think most of it depends on what options the control has. When you add it as a custom control there should be a list of parameters that can be set. Have you looked at these to see if they might control some of what you want. I am pretty sure number 3 is fine. In a published form the user cannot change the ...
