I do not believe there is. Best practice would be to have two fields, one for each type and then use conditional formatting to hide one or the other depending on the option selected.

You can use the Save As to make an independent copy of an entire form. It sounds from your description that is what you are looking for.

I am assuming the situation is that you would have multiple repeating data rows input and determining the exact field which is not validating?
You could add a rule to the repeating table or section which checked validation manually on each row when an insert was done if ...

Are you pasting it in as you access it in the browser? Typically if you have read access you can setup a recieve connection.

The contains function would return a True or False which would not probably be the value. I would think you would want if(contains(summaryfield.text, "."));

Sometimes when I copy from a word document into the rich text box on my form the text color or font type changes. Do you think this hotfix will fix this problem as well?
