Hello,
I've created a browswer enabled form for users to rank items 1 to 5. Since the items will change often I'm storing them in a sharepoint list so end users can modify them and the list will be created dynamically. I've created a repeating table that pulls in the items from a data connection, ...

You are right...I am trying to access a data source record that is tied to a web service. As you can tell, I need a better understanding of how to setup my definitions. I have attached what my data source looks like to make it easier for you to see what I need. Thanks for all of youe help!

Thanks.

Amazing. Again, thanks.
If anyone has a list of behavioral idiosyncrasies between client and web versions of forms, here's another: xml files as secondary data sources do not contain the XML declaration or processing instructions in the InfoPath client, but they do in the browser.

Great! Glad to have helped.
I don't recall where I picked up that little tidbit, but it's a great one to have in your arsenal.

There is no code. You simply right-click the drop-down list box control in the view, choose Properties, and then set it up to pull its options from your secondary data source. That's it.

Great! Glad you were able to get some help. Yes, David knows Russian and is a great contact for you.
Babelfish has come a long way. It isn't good enough to translate a novel, but it gets close enough to get the idea across.
