• Re: Infopath validation using XMLformview control

Hey sachin, you can achieve what you are trying to do by inspecting the errors collection of the XmlForm object. For example, if your control is called XmlFormView1, you can do the following in your code-behind: this.XmlFormView1.DataBind(); // or else XmlForm will be null XmlForm xmlForm = this.XmlFormView1.XmlForm; And then you can party on ...

  • Re: Email Web Service Works in InfoPath 2007 but Doesn't Work on MOSS 2007

Hi Seafox and welcome to the forums! I thought I had read before that you could not submit to web services from a browser-enabled form, but maybe I am wrong. I found the following blog post that shows people doing this, but the form was set as full trust, maybe that has something to do with ...

  • Re: Emailing Infopath forms

When the user is completing a form in InfoPath, they can use the File menu Send To: command just like in other office applications. Then they can specify whatever they want for the email parameters. This can be enabled and disabled in Form Options in design mode.

  • Re: Forms Performance & Inconsistency

Are you opening the browser form in Internet Explorer? If so, what version? Browser forms are still a relatively new technology, so I am not surprised by these somewhat small glitches. My guess is that the client that is experiencing these problems should be updated with the latest editions of the browser and maybe .NET.

  • Re: Text Box calculation on a Repeating Section

Hi Galford, Instead of default value formulas on the receiving nodes, try adding Rules on the "sending" nodes. Add a rule on the node that the user types into that runs the calculation and then sets the value of the other nodes. I know this is kind of weird, but this is just a nuance of doing calculations in repeating ...

  • Re: Infopath validation using XMLformview control

Hi Sachin and welcome to the forums! I don't have a whole lot of experience making browser-enabled forms, but I believe this is one of the things that you lose when you choose to make your form browser-enabled. I looked through the documentation for XmlFormView and didn't see anything obvious. Sorry, and please let us know if ...

  • Re: set a field's value in a repeating section

Hi BoxTurtle, I think the problem is that your drop-down list is outside of the repeating section. You should really have an instance on each row that the user can then select from the list of values. How does the user specify which row in the table they want to populate if the drop-down is outside of the repeating table?
