we have to retrive data from database(dropdowns,contact addressetc)  and  i will enter data and submit into database as xml file. please tell me how to do it?. after that can i convert infopath form to webapge.

Sorry I am not getting XPath button on InfoPath 2007. If I double click the dropdown button, I am getting property window.  Could you please little elaborate the above steps?

You can create data connections in InfoPath via the wizard. To query and submit a database you can either connect via ODC connection, but you are limited to one set of related tables which you can query and submit to. That is correct Sharepoint lists cannot be queried. Your choices are setup a secondary data conenction, which will load the whole list, then jsut filter a repeating section to only show the one they wanted or "queried". I think you would have to extract the source files. Then edit the Manifest in Notepad. Then you could manualy copy and paste the conditions from one control or section to the others. Save the manifest and then right click and design. This will recompile.
