I can't predict how long your InfoPath forms will continue to work on SharePoint 365. Only Microsoft knows that. I don't have much knowledge about Microsoft Forms - last time I looked at them, they were pretty limited. If you start using FormsViewer with your list form, the form will still query from and submit to a SharePoint list. If ...

I'd probably just add a "FormDate" field and in an onload rule set that to today if it is currently blank. Then you can use that for your validation and it will stay stable.

So you could add custom code to your form for this (depending somewhat on your environment) or you could use a third-party tool like qRules (again, there are some environmental dependencies). If this is a browser form, it will either need to be admin approved or the user publishing it will need to be a site collection admin and the sandbox code ...

To answer your first question - to the best of my knowledge, there is no way to submit a single list form to multiple lists. I would guess that to show all items from the list you'd need to add another data connection to the list and just query for all data when switching to your new view?

This can be done with code or with third party tools (qRules, FormsViewer) but not out of the box. Are you using SharePoint online or on-prem?

First I'd verify this is the problem - but it is one I've seen before. Do you see the same issue when you preview the form? If so - deselect that option and preview the form and see if this fixes it. Worst case, you can create a single list for the distinct descriptions and make that a lookup on your other list....

Do any of your dropdowns have the checkbox to show only unique values checked?

I'm having a hard time understanding your question. Here's a sample form with some rules that hopefully will serve as an example. Save the attached file locally, right click and select Design to open in design mode. Then you can preview and look at the rules. If you need help with your form, feel free to attach under the Options tab in a ...

That is not expected behavior. I've not run into this issue before. Perhaps try downloading the InfoPath form from the SharePoint library to edit it, to make sure you have the copy with the properties promoted? You can go to Library > Advanced > Edit Template if this is a form published directly to a library.

Oh wow - that is NOT intuitive. Thanks for posting your work around!
