Hello all, this is my first time on the forums-
I'm looking to build an offline form to function as a backup for an already created online form (in case for whatever reason the online form fails). It's an application form for students. Given that the form is aimed at students it is not really practical to have them all buy ...

Yes, that is a downfall. Is your drop down populated manually? Or does it use a seconday data source? If it uses a secondary data source, you could select the field from the 2ds, and filter it so that you get the data field that matches the display with the related selected value in your drop down. If your drop down is populated manually, I ...

I found the solution to this one. Opeing it directly from email opens from the local cache which is not trusted.
If I save it to the desktop and reopen it, it works fine.

Great idea Hilary! I have not used expression boxes before and they are pretty cool. However, I have encountered one minor issue that I can work around unless you have an easy resolution to...
When I create a expression box for one of the drop down lists, the value that displays in the expression box is the actual 'value' not ...

I have a form that I put some code on some buttons to move some fields around. I followed the instructions from here: http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms772110.aspx on how to publish templates with code. That all works as I expected it to, however when I go to my site collections form templates library and click on the ...

Hi--
Instead of disabling the control, you could hide it completely using conditional formatting and also have an expression box on the form bound to the same field. Use the opposite condition to hide the expression box. So, for example, if your user role called 'Admin' can use the drop down, you'd format that to hide if the user ...

I finally understand!
Thanks for being patient, I really didn't get what you wanted to do. You need to change your data source. You can't use a formula for the display values in the list box. I'm guessing from the name of your vwAccessWithEmployeeName datasource that it might be a view -- add another column to your SQL view that ...

What I want is the each selection in the listbox to contain the EmployeeName + UserID (rather than just the Employee Name). I can get it to display the Employee name based on the criteria of "Role Affected", but I can't get the UserID concatenated to it.

I am using InfoPath 2007 and have created a form that pre-populates three fields (Title, Function, and Rank) from a SP list based on my Name field. That is working correctly.
However, when I go into the library and open a completed form, the all four fields are blank. And, it is only these four fields that are blank. Is there ...

HI,
I am using InfoPath 2003 and have a form with mulitple drop down lists. Because I dont want users who are filling out this form to mess with the dropdown lists, I have conditionally formatted them to be disabled by the 'user role'. However, when I do that, the font changes to grey and it is quite difficult to ...
