I have a SharePoint site with custom dataviews, links and all sorts of stuff all centered around my main "Incident Report" infopath form. Hello Patrick,
Regarding form based workflows, might you have a document that can guide me through setting a form based workflow up? Maybe a sample form, sample steps etc being that I've never used them please. If I had one walkthrough I'm sure I would sort out how to continue that development.
Thanks.

Qdabra's DBXL
was designed precisely for this purpose. DBXL that
can do everything you just described in your post and more. With DBXL,
mapping form data to multiple SQL tables, and updating the data when
the form is modified, is a breeze. DBXL has a free trial version and I recommend trying it out.

I don't think it's enough for the user to be a member of the Administrators group. You have to Run As Administrator.
Can you post your Qdabra DBXL questions in the support forum? This will make sure we address them quickly. Sorry for the late reply!

Thank you for your response Qazi, but the calculation is pulling from a rule. Is there a way to configure the rule to update the field's value?

reread your post. it is an existing document. If the Checked Out To column is set, that will help narrow down the problem.
