Thanks for the references. I took a look at them, but may hold attempting this. We're getting a C# programmer; so maybe he can help. I'm going to finish up on the rest of the tables that have data that will need to be inserted, etc. At the end of the week, even if I'm not finished, I'll let the users start ...

Thanks for the info -- I was afraid of that. I'll have to see if we're as opposed to deploying 3rd-party code modules as we are to developing & deploying our own; I suspect we are.
I was hopeful about your Excel technique -- it doesn't seem unreasonable to ask users to insert the appropriate number of empty rows, and to structure ...

I'll try that, thank you so much![/quote]
Hi Chrislatham,
A repeating section will not work as it will repeat your previous attached attachment. I do not have a solution for now!
PS: Patrick, Moss 2007 doesn't support attachments??? You better remove that MVP logo!!

Thanks for the moral support. It's good to know I'm not alone.
We've just about decided to abolish using InfoPath. All I was told by our consultants was to use InfoPath for forms. Well it's been nothing but trouble. I can honostly say there hasn't been a single form where I haven't had some issue like this occur. On one ...

There's not direct way to do this--partly because you cannot insert new rows without code. Now you could do this with Qdabra qRules, which doesn't require you to write code, but does USE code (C#) to accomplish what it does. You can copy multiple rows from Excel and paste them into a text box, which the code would then parse, adding rows ...

kagoodm,
What you experiencing is the expected behavior.
Your first setup creates an HTML representation of the form view, and attachments are not supported (thus they are not sent). Users can do whatever they want in the body of the email, as the form is just HTML.
Your second setup sends the entire form XML as an attachment, and when the user ...

You are not alone in your anguish. I have this happen to me as well. Not always, but it does sometimes, and it can be very frustrating and annoying. I have not been able to trace down the source or cause of the issue. However, we could start to build a profile here. I have:
Intel Core2 Quad Q6600, 8GB RAM
Windows Vista Ultimate SP2 ...

Well I ended up recreating every data source in the form, and changing a boatload of rules to use them.
It turns out that the only parts that were not working were ones that passed a parameter to the web service. If it was just a straight query, with no passed parameter, there was no issue.
Still no idea what went wrong and we ...

When you say 'redirect form to that URL' do you mean submit the completed form to the same library? I don't think you'll be able to do that without code (or the upcoming v2.0 release of qRules, which will have a command for changing the submit url). Here's an interesting blog post on using code for this.
