Sounds like a limitation of end points. Have you tried setting Security permissions on the endpoint? Maybe you can then have the endpoint impersonate one user.
The other option would be to install Qdabra's Web Service (DBXL) which allows you to configure permissions at the XSN or XML level using Active Directory groups/users. Might save you ...

Qdabra just released qRules v2.0 with the new Set Value command that does exactly what you have in mind. It filters a repeating table based on an xpath parameter that you create based on other fields. qRules includes a collection of the most common InfoPath commands that would require code. You can inject qRules into your form and just set the ...

If you create your form using an XML Schema (File->Design...->New from Blank) you can't submit directly to a DB. That's because the schema is XML and not based off SQL data types. Submitting directly to a DB after form creation was never an option in InfoPath.
If you create your form from a DB, you already have the submit data ...

Hi,
This is my first post on this site. I have been designing forms in infopath for about 18 months and have found this site incredibly valuable when I had questions in the past. I have not been able to find any info on how to do what I am trying to do without code, which I am very sure could be done, but I would prefer not to use ...

If I leave the "Show insert button and hint text" people will click it, but when ...

Notarian, I will test this tonight to confirm. As for your direct-to-SQL forms, why are those not using web services to submit to SQL?
Hopefully, you will be able to make your case for DBXL, since it is a great tool.

I hate to tell you this.... but I don't think there is a way to have this functionality in repeating sections. We can't use filters in a browser form on our dropdowns, so by using a web service you are getting back just the data for each ddl that would apply to the value in the first ddl.
If your data doesn't change very often -- that ...
