I am wondering how to make a button open a file. In this case an existing agreement form for someone to open and either send via e-mail or print and fill out. I have looked around and am not seeing how this can be done.

one of your optional sections is set to "Include this section in the form by default."
remove that and set it to "Do not Include this section in the form by default."
to do so double click the optional section. and select the proper radio button

Either you have a corrupt version of Office (Control Panel->Repair) or you have a form that exposes a bug in InfoPath. My guess is the former.

Hi JECowley,
This is a more involved question for this forum. The answer is likely to have someone look at your code and help you. It could be as easy as replacing the xpath with the one for your Main Data Source, but it will take someone time to debug it. Qdabra offers support packs: http://www.qdabra.com/en/products/Support.aspx. We'd be ...

Hi Karen,
Well, I'm guessing that the signatures block may allow multiple signatures (to do countersign). That would involve a repeating list of signatures. Just a guess though. You may have found a bug in InfoPath's ability to upgrade signed frms.

Any XML format will work, just make sure the tags match up. For example:
<Data>
<Group>
<Field1>Value1</Field1>
<Field2>Value2</Field2>
</Group>
<Group>
<Field1>Value3</Field1>
<Field2></Field2>
</Group>
</Data>
You can use Notepad to ...

qRules is great when you want to set a value in a single row of a repeating section, but if I understand correctly, you're trying to retrieve values based on a dynamic XPath query.
In this case, I think something like this should work: ../@*[local-name() =concat(xdXDocument:get-DOM()/my:myFields/my:PRODUCTS/text(), ...

Hi Pavel,
Qdabra developed it's Web Service Suite (DBXL) to address this exact scenario (and many others). Qdabra pays for the InfoPathDev site (which is free to the community). What you want to do is complex and our standard response is to tell people to get the free trial version of DBXL and if you like it, the Beginner license is <$500. ...
