SharePoint view columns are limited to the SQL schema that SharePoint uses behind the scenes. I should remember what the limits are but it's been 7 years since my dev team at Microsoft designed them... Anyway, my guess is that for text controls, SharePoint limits the column width to 255 chars but that it's bigger for rich text. I know ...

Remove the calculations from the default value and create an Open Rule with a condition that checks to see if the field is blank or not and if so sets the value based on the function/calculation.

Hi Bill,
Jimmy is investigating a tool that may help you. He'll send you e-mail after he verifies it is working.

Sorry, I forgot about that! Thanks for clarifying. I thought we had some way to Switch and Send with the view showing in e-mail. Maybe it was code that touched the view controls or something.
If you click a button and switch views and then have another button to send it should send the new view.

There's nothing that I know of in SharePoint that will lock the Form Template update based on the template.
Did you check the SharePoint server logs? Might be that your SharePoint needs a new service pack or there's some anomaly with it.
Of course, I'm assuming you are using the same account to update as the account that you used ...

Another option would be to create a view that joins your database table with the DBXL Document table on the DocId key value and query that. Doing so would be in keeping with the 2nf principle.

Although they aren't all shown in DAT for DBXL v2.3, the following should all work in mapping:
DBXL::Link
DBXL::DocId
DBXL::DocType
DBXL::RefId
DBXL::VerNo
DBXL::CreatedBy
DBXL::DateCreated
DBXL::ModifiedBy
DBXL::DateModified

Hi, Jeff:
That's a great feature request for future versions -- I'll be sure to log it!
Currently, I suppose you could write a trigger for your target table (that you are shredding to), and on Insert get the data from the DBXL Document table based on the DocId....

I noticed in DBXL that their are 4 column's called DateCreated, DateModified, Createdby, and Modifiedby.
I already have DocID being added. I don't see these 4 as Mapping Tokens in the Database Mapping in DBXL. Is it possible?

Here is a version of your earlier template. Instead of a default value in the field for the Cb column, I've added a rule to the Beta field to set that column when the Beta value changes. You may also want to add the same rule to the Alpha field...
