Hi -- can you attach a copy of your form to a reply? You can do this under the options tab. You can use current() in rules and in filtering in IP 2003, which is what I gather you are trying to do... filter a drop down list?

Exactly the retrieve button is optional, only if historical records need to be updated. the submit button appears as long as a date is selected I think that repeating error occurred after I copied the file to upload onto this forum but it's not an issue on the original - It's probably difficult to diagnose this one ...

Note that the document lock seems to time out after a long while and I can edit it ONCE. The lock on the template does not. I can never update a library template via publish.
Weird.

I created a new blank form in InfoPath. Published it to a new document library. Then I made a minor change and tried to update that same library. Same issue appeared.
In the mean time I've been doing the local publish and upload workaround, which works fine enough.
Then I discovered another similar issue.
The documents created with ...

Okay. So they only use the Retrieve button if they are trying to update an existing record? I did notice that the repeating section with your controls is unbound, not sure if that is part of the problem you are having, but it is something you'll want to fix.

Right, well it's a yes and no answer. Each day basically should equal a new record in the table.. that's why i've got the date set to "no duplicates". But we also want the capability to "edit" data for any particular day. So say for example, this evening I go in and add a forecast for tomorrow, ...

You should always go through the data connection wizard again when you change the database table. You are doing the right thing as far as that's concerned. My concern is with your query. If you are querying for an existing record, then changing it and resubmitting, you will always overwrite that row. Does that make sense? But it seems from ...

Ok. So I have the two views now. And created a Button that had Rules and Code. The first rule is to Switch Views. The second rule is to do a Submit. But when I test it, I no longer receive the email showing the filled in form. The email is blank.
Any ideas?

Thank you for taking a look. Yes, I've found that whenever I make design changes to the database (i.e. change the PK) I need to go through the data connection wizard or else the changes may not be recognized on the form side. - is that a bad idea? The only query field on the form is actually date... and I have a ...
