As a relative newbie to InfoPath I was wondering is there a way to display all the detial rows in a Master/Detail section? The oonly thing I can produce is one detail rows that would be visiable when selecting a row in the Master section.

Just to confirm, we are talking about this document, right? And the issue you are describing would be in step 7-e-ii, correct?
Most commonly the issues come from step 2 or step 6. We can verify step 6 by checking a screenshot of the Sharepoint tab in your document type. Can you please attach that?

Is there any way to stop all calculations when the form is opened / loaded? If anyone has any script to do so, it would really help.

The problem with doing that is that if the data feeding the calculated field is updated, then the calculated field is not updated, as we have marked the field containing the default answer as being manually updated.
Any other suggestions?
