Hi Nickda_Corfu and welcome!
You could use qRules SubmitToSharePoint which lets you specify the SharePoint URL as a parameter in a rule. We are posting a free trial for the newest version (2.1) in a day or so. qRules is packed with other features and it's super cheap with a 30 day money back guarantee if you aren't fully ...

Hi Ashok and thanks for posting!
Sure, you can do this with two queries. Qdabra Software (company that pays for this free site) sells an Active Directory Web Service that you can use to get this. Just call it once with current user. Then, call it again with manager. There's even a free version available as part of the DBXL trial. Both ADWS ...

Hi Kesava,
Can you take the code out of the On Load event handler and put it somewhere else?
I'm guessing you are trying to auto-populate values in your form on load. If that's correct, please take a look at the free trial of qRules 2.1. We added a new function for Swapping DOM on load to work around this limitation in ...

Hi FletchSm,
Thanks for posting!
First off, your question is more of a SQL coding question, not really InfoPath. Second, writing code in your form is not a best practice because it increases IT cost to maintain across multiple XSNs. Hi Olechka and welcome,

The other way to do it for single XML files (that you file->import or file->merge) is to create an import XSLT and add it to your manifest.xsf. ...

Hilary, I'm returning <number,#name> where the number varies, ie 3,#john smith, or 33,#john........
You make it sound so simple but I'm afraid I'm a learner at this and need a little guidance. Can you please expand on what the function would look like if my field name is "responsible" bound to a read only text box. ...

Is it returned in that order? Like #24Hilary? On one of my ShP sites, with a look up, I got back number#name, so 24#Hilary. In that case, it is pretty easy to use substring-after to get what you want.

Hi Hilary
Thanks for the reply. Makes sense and all is well. However I have another question:
I'm using the filterowssvr command to retrieve a name field which is a lookup column in my sharepoint list. The value is returned with a preceding #<number><name>. I know I can edit the xsn manually to remove the unwanted ...

Hi, really appreciate if someone could help me with this... Basically I have to input a string, and use this string as the identifier to pull out data from an access table. Currently, if the string has only one line in the access table, i can pull the data out and populate a one-row table in infoPath. But the problem is that ...
