Hi,
Have you considered looking at our Web Services Solution Pack (WSSP)? WSSP is a web service and does what you are looking for. WSSP also includes "Query Builder" which is a tool which allows you to easily create the queries to use in InfoPath (it includes easy copy & paste for the data source sample value, a query ...

Hi, Graham:
I don't quite understand what you are trying to do. I take it the name is returned in the secondary data source bound to the field with the dropdown? Can you just add a rule to the field bound to the drop down to set the field bound to the text box to the correct value from the secondary data source?

Mel and all, related to this thread, can you help with with a rule that would remove all users that were selected using the Contact Selector in one fell swoop? I'm hiding and showing the section that contains the Contact Selector. If they choose to hide it I'd like to make sure it also removes any users they may have added using the ...

Could this be because the field outside the repeating table where you're storing the Design Number is getting reset when you click Submit? You can probably get around this by unchecking the "Update this value when the formula's value changes" checkbox, but you'll probably want to look into why this is happening.

When I use the default value it will place the value in the column for each row, however, when I clicked the submit button the values disappear in all rows except the first and then I get an error message about missing a required field for my database.

You should be able to use that field's Default Value formula to accomplish this. You'll need to store your Design Number somewhere so that the formula can access it at any time.

I haven't heard of InfoPath being used with ClickOnce, but is there a particular reason that you want to use ClickOnce? You should just be able to publish the XSN to a web server from the InfoPath designer.

I am having the same issue. Re-linking doesn't help either. Does anybody know the solution and cause of it. How can I prevent it from happening.

I'm trying to find specifics on using ClickOnce deployment for an InfoPath 2007 form template. In a fat VSTO book there is a table that has an X in the cell that indicates InfoPath supported or works with ClickOnce; but there are no details at all in the book. Nor have my online searches found any details.
It may be that using ...
