I am new to Infopath..so please help me..
I have two fields on my Infopath form like ID and Name.
If i enter some value in ID (TextBox) the Name (Textbox) has to be populate with corresponding column value from a list called "MY List" .
How we can achieve this????Programatically or is there any other way..

I find it very hard to believe that even after changing it to that code, strRichText still has the value "namespace.fieldName." Are you sure you're not making some mistake in redeploying the web service and that it's not running a previous build of the code?

Feeling ignorant or brain dead but I'm missing the key"selecting field for change value rule" before I save source? Can you clarify?
So the @name="ID" is generic and not specific to your code or schema? I think I'm seeing this.

This is what I got hung up on too. The key is selecting field for change value rule. Once you have done that, export the source. Edit the manifest.xsf in a text editor. You need to locate the specific rules that will look similar to this

Created a list box
Data sourced the external list library where the info was kept
In the List Box Entries under "Entries" i link the root folder that held the info (my case AllResources)

Yes, This is certainly going down the right avenue. Where I beleive I'm hung up is the caml code construction. Simply don't understand enough of the syntax or behavior. I'm using the default code.
