I had this problem too and discovered that to set the fields value you needed to go into the fx then type "True" or "False" depending on which value you require.

Initially, I had a form filled out where users are to enter data about their school, class codes, etc. Anyway, After creating the form, I find out that it must be set up so that multiple students can be entered at once. i thought the simple solution would be to copy+paste the table from the form (with all of my text boxes, drop downs, etc. ...

I rebuilt everything and now it is working. Since I rebuit everything I am not sure what it was that was changed to make it work.
I thank you very much for your help, I had put a lot of time into this and I was just not getting anywhere.

Hi. My form library stores a few forms. Is it possible to create permission that denies user opening these forms in browser?
Only listing contents of library is allowed.

you cant modify this file using code at runtime, but there are workarounds, one would be providing your own print button and on that using code, change view and print that view using code.

why dont you just set the show only properties with unique display names to true(i.e. check that checkbox) and duplicates wont list up, in the drop down

you will need a secondary data connection to the the list from infopath form.
and on ID(text box) field set a rule to set the value of Name(textbox) to the Name from secondary data connection filtered on condition (ID in secondary data connection is equal to ID of infopath form)
