Why is it not a good idea?
-
Before I even get started trying - Is it possible to have a very simple browser based form on a public facing site be completed and sucessfully submitted (Add to List) by an anonymous user? I am in the process of making an event reciever to fire a workflow of the custom list, but I would prefer infopath if this in theory is possible.

Only in the datasource -- you don't need to display it in the form. Glad you got it sorted, and thanks for posting the issue!

Are you displaying an error in an expression box, or disabling the submit button, or something else?

A section control can be bound to anything. You don't need to add a node in your data source just for the section control. How about binding it to the same node as the file attachment control?

It seems that default values act funny when there is a multiple selection list box involved. I would have thought that wouldn't be an issue here, because the default value involves TopNonBlankRegionalGroup, which is not in a multi-select list box, but maybe it has something to do with the whole chain of events being set off by a change ...
