Have you checked the names of the list, item, site, field you are trying to access to? Maybe you made an error when writing them...
(example : SPList myList = site.Lists["customlist"]; should be SPList myList = site.Lists["CustomList"];)

Hi, I have a form in Infopath 2007 and I am running in a sharepoint list forms. My question is: Once you publish my form, how do I get to open the xml and check it brings me the Item ID that was generated?

I see. This seems to be yet another quirk of the multi-selection list box. Validation can only be performed on fields that exist.
