Hi,

i have a infopath form which receives and submits the data to sharepoint list, i have to pop up the fields depending on the selection of the dropdown list. i have to calculate the uage of the equipment by calculation from previous mile(-pre-populated field from sharepoint list) and current mile(-user have to enter ). everytime somebody use the quipment they have to enter this in sharepoint list but the problem is it only allows one entry per equipment. it pops up error saying

"Infopath cannot submit the form because it contains validation errors that are not in the current view. errors are marked with either a red asterisk or a red, dashed border."

and when i click view details it comes up as follow:

The form contains the following errors:

Field or group: my:entryDate
Error: Only date allowed (example: 2001-03-14)

i have no idea if this is because of the filter i have set which uses today() and now() function or beacuse of something else.

any help would be appreicating.

Hi Hinu39,

If you plan to enter multiple rows of information following the same column fields, the Data Source type should be part of a repeating group.

And with regards to the validation errors you are getting, you might want to check the data type assigned to the problematic field. And try entering different values that might work. Sometimes, rearranging the YYYY-MM-DD will eliminate the problem due to data validation settings.

If it is OK, can you outline the data source structure of your form?
