Hello there,
When we create a workflow with SPDesigner, it ask to link to a sharepoint list. Is there a way to link this workflow to a content type instead of a list?
Thanks in advance!

Patrick,
Hopefully you won't mind following up on a question about an old post.
You wrote that publishing Full Trust forms is a bad practice. I'm curious about this in that I want to write managed code for a form and publish to our SharePoint site. Is there a paper, blog entry, etc. out there that explains ...

My client wanted to make it so that when they enter a value in the field, I do a check to verify the number isn't used yet. If it is, I then display some information for that number. If it doesn't, they wanted it to automatically bring up a new form with a field autopopulated for that new number.
It would be clunky to have them ...

Yes for the dynamic URL to be constructed, I'm trying to use the "Open a new form to fill out" action. Where it specifies the URL to the template, I don't see an option to insert a field for the action so I was trying something like:
http://mySharePointsite/forms/template.xsn?CompNo1=../my:CompNo1

Hello Gil,
The portion of the tutorial that you read that deals with the Submit data connection has nothing to do with the actual act of passing values from one form to another. You can actually skip steps 2 and 3 of the Travel Request section and still accomplish the main goal of the tutorial.
What the tutorial actually ...

There's a text field where I check for a value in the database. If that value doesn't exist, I use a rule to bring up a second form. On the second form I'd like to autopopulate a field with that value that doesn't exist. When the second form gets submitted, the first form is still open and they can then fill out the rest of the ...
