I'm hiding a control on my form. When I save it back to a SharePoint list the data is still submitting. How do I remove the data from the data source when I hide the control(text box, dropdown list, etc.)?

I have a secondary data source to a list. I have a door that needs upgrading, so when the door is upgraded; the time the door was upgraded is stored in a library and the form. Hilary, I still can't make the date and time appear in the date picker or text box control.   

Hilary,   I tried to formatt the Date and time into a Date Picker and a text box. I can not get this to work, you have any ideas what can be causing this?

  I have a question. If I have repeating doors that are upgraded or changed and I promote the date they changed for each door. Is it anyway to filter on this data or date once they are in the Library. I don't think so because repeating data only give you the option to merge one on top of the other or show the first repeating door. The ...

The control was a text box, I deleted the text box and added a Date Picker. It still will not work.

Under Date and Time Format it says: Date and time cannot be displayed in the same control. When I click a time format, the the Date format goes to Do not display date automatically; Vice versa) Is it that you can't store Date and time in the same control?
