Comparing a form value to a SharePoint list secondary data source.

I have a drop downlist box and a seconday data source I am comparing it with. The problem is that they don't equal each other, and it that case do not set the value of the UpgradedDoorHinges to the date that is in the list, when they should. I set the promoted repeating field to merge since the section is a repeating door.

Let's say I'm comparing NumberReplacedHinges(dropdownlistbox field) is equal to Number_Replaced_Hinges(Secondary data source list field from SharePoint)

    =fx Set a field's value

UpgradedDoorHinges(Form field which is a date format)

               to

Upgraded_DoorHinges(Another Secodary data list field in SharePoint-this is a Date)
