You're right Patrick, that is just a way to make it easier and clearer for users, which are potentially hundreds, maybe 1 thousand. I'm trying to have "submit" and "save" buttons close in the form and reduce the number of possible choices for users, that's the only point. Anyway a found a post on a different site ...

Hi Johan,
I know of no bug in InfoPath that would have caused this, so I'm guessing it is just something in your form's specific rules or submit. Can you attach the XSN or try to reproduce with a sample and attach that?

Where is the data stored? i.e. where is the list of managers stored? Once selected, where does the form go to get the data for the vendors? Is this information stored in Active Directory? SQL? SharePoint?

Hi Renato,
Stupid question but why not use the out-of-box support for save? Why do you need to make this a button?
We've developed and delivered hundreds of InfoPath forms. We've done a lot of work to customize Save for offline scenarios (for example, adding conflict resolution detection, etc.) but we've never ever tried to popup a ...

If it's not blank, you can choose not to show it - this way they can focus on only what fields are left to fill out. If you're using InfoPath 2010, you ...

You don't need a Web Service for this. qRules includes filterOwssvr function that lets you filter a SharePoint query based on field data in your form. qRules also contains CopyTable and Insert that let you copy the values you query from your query secondary data source into your main data source. Then you can use them ...

Security level = Full Trust!? Please don't do that! That is not a best practice. 95% of all forms do not need to be Full Trust and it complicates and adds cost to your deployment (because you have to sign the form or use an MSI to install it).
You don't need full trust to solve this problem in code. Not sure why Potemkine is asking you to ...
