I want to be able to save the existing form but perform some additional updates like when the form is "Saved" using the Save button in the Ribbon. I'd like to add some rules to the button and then possibly Save it in code. Is there a better way to do this than creating a "Submit" Data Connection? I have to get the ...

Hello Warrtalon,
I'm wondering if you can help me with a query. We have a Purchase Request form, designed in IP2010 and using SPD2007 for the workflow. Everything is fine and the forms are being raised and authorised without issue.
However, I've been asked to design a replacement form with some new features, some of which are ...

Hi JaxKookie and thanks for the dual post!
I definitely know the feeling of a hairless odyssey. Thanks for the high gain. No need for low gain here. :)

Hi Shane,
Looks like an issue with your SQL permissions. When we installed last Friday I remember we had to be very careful to enter the correct credentials (for example, to your SQL server, which was on a different box). We're scheduled for 1 hour tomorrow at 1pm Pacific. Please send us email if you need more immediate assistance.

Hi Cashworth,
This is an interesting question. Here's a simple idea: change the UI to force the user to add a row at the bottom. After added, it gets automatically inserted and sorted in ascending order of the StartDate in a read only table above it. Now, you can use preceding-sibling and the rarer follow-sibling to compare it. Just add a ...

Hi Gidsy,
Welcome to the wonderful world of InfoPath! :)
Your first question is a deep one! :) It's also one of the most commonly asked in this forum. How to integrate with SQL. InfoPath includes out-of-box support to work with SQL but it is limited. The best practice is to submit data to SQL using a Web service. Qdabra has simplified this ...
